Netanyahu Calls Early Elections
Israel’s prime minister has called for elections early next year, about eight months ahead of schedule.
Binyamin Netanyahu says a budget dispute with coalition partners forced him to make the decision. Many, however think the Israeli PM is using a moment of popularity while opponents are in disarray to secure a second term.
