Who will Condemn the Murder of Vittorio Arrigoni?
Horrific news from Gaza that Vittorio Arrigoni has been brutally murdered by his captors, a radical Islamist group with a bone to pick with Hamas. This cowardly act was perpetrated under the banner of and in the name of Islam.
Take a look at his Facebook profile picture. It’s not just about him, is it? His last post on Facebook was on Wednesday and it was about 4 Palestinians killed in a Gaza tunnel.
His murderers are supposed salafis, people who espouse taking Muslim societies to what they were during the days of Muhammad, going back in time almost 15 centuries.
I wonder how many condemnations of his murder there were today at the Friday prayer sermons all over the Islamic world.
Not many, I hazard to guess. And in that lies a portion of this part of the world’s problems.
I don’t know what happens after death but Vittorio deserves peace. He sailed across the sea to show solidarity and lend a hand. The gratitude I am certain he was met with by the long-suffering civilian population of Gaza will now forever be shamefully overshadowed by this despicable murder committed by homicidal fanatics.
Israel is busy with false operations locally while Nato is doing Libya. Busy beavers during the Arab spring. Israel should get out of Palestine. Go home!
I’ll begin by saying that I am an Israeli belonging to the peace camp.
I wish to praise Omar al – assawi for his courage to say the truth. Muslims hardly take responsibility for their situation. There’s always someone else to blame, especialy Israel.
Israel is not the problem and never was. Israel is not responsible for the current crisis in Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Libya ect.
If the Arabs would offer Israel a slight chance for peace and quiet, they might be surprised by the outcome.
I myself remember going to the market and Gaza and buying goods with fellow Israelis during my childhood, visiting Palestinian friends.
That was long ago. One day the palestinians decided they want it all and the good relations ended.
Arrigoni was not a peace activist. He didn’t care one bit about peace for Israel.
Open you mind and eyes, people. Israelis WANT the palestinians to prosper and have their own state. The Palestinians are suicidal, just like the article insinuates.
What an earth are you palestinians doing??? I am a muslim, I have supported your fight against Israel for years, but today I have disgusted and appalled that you killed a man who risked his life and freedom to defend yours!! You are animals!

The Islamic communties everywhere are saddened and outraged at this senseless murder. But remember, Palestine is a brutalized no man’s land thanks to Zionism. People are traumatized, people are out of their minds mad. Lots of mental problems I would suspect. It is not a place where human beings thrive in good health. It is all the more incentive to work to clean out the immigrant rats from Palestine. All of it.
You can’t blame everything on Zionism. That is part of what the article was all about. Sometimes people have to act maturely and take responsibility. The Palestinian society has the obligation to educate its people about the difference between wrong and right. Instead of judging zionists, sometimes you have to judge yourself.
